TODO

Having worked with the team on their sister restaurant, Luca, we were asked to rebrand their higher-end offering, The Clove Club. Already Michelin-starred when we started working with them (and since awarded a second star), The Clove Club is an elevated dining experience where attention is paid to every single detail of the guest experience, both on and off the plate.

Imbuing the identity with a sense of craft and striking beauty, we used an old-fashioned, analogue photographic processing technique, creating a set of cyanotypes, each comprising botanical imagery that speak of nature rather than overtly of food. The vivid Yves Klein-like blue creates a complimentary accent to the space whilst delivering a striking sense of identity to the table, one that weaves its way in and out of the guest experience from arrival to departure.

As befits a 2* Michelin dining experience, each dish is accompanied by a personal note written by Executive Chef & Owner, Isaac McHale, explaining the thinking and reasoning behind the dish. At the end of the meal, the note cards are compiled into a bespoke envelope for guests to take away with them.

With thanks to The Clove Club project team, in particular Isaac, Ellen and Rike, and to Dan Tobin-Smith and the team at Optical Arts for bringing our stop-frame animations to life.
